Inaugurated in 1929, under the name Rancho Boyeros Airport (the name by which it is still sometimes referred to), it has been named since the Cuban Revolution, in honor of the Cuban poet and patriot José Martí.

The airfield is located in the municipality of Boyeros, 20 kilometres (12 mi) southwest of the centre of Havana.

IT IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH ANY OTHER SCENE IN THE SAME LOCATION IN 2020 AND WILL MODIFY THESE OTHER SCENES TO ALLOW IMMERSION INTO THE 1930'S. YOU WILL HAVE TO MANAGE THEM BY INSTALLING/UNINSTALLING THEM IF YOU WANT TO GO BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN 1935 AND TODAY.
