Info: The Aeronautical Engineer Ambrosio Taravella SACO International Airport or Pajas Blancas Airport is an airport located in the city of Córdoba, capital of the homonymous province, in the Argentine Republic. This air terminal is the third busiest airport in that country. The airport is located 11.5 km from the center of the city of Córdoba and has a passenger terminal of approximately 19,000 m², which has the capacity to serve 2.4 million passengers per year. It was inaugurated as a national airport in 1949 and internationalized in 1975. After the regionalization of the Jorge Newbery Airport, it is repositioned as the third most important airport in international flights in Argentina, behind the Ezeiza International Airport and the aforementioned Buenos Aires airport. As far as domestic flights are concerned, it is the second most important airport at the national level. The Army Aviation Section 141 of the 2nd Army Division of the Argentine Army is based at this airport. The airport serves as an alternative to the Ezeiza International Airport and is not available to larger ships.
