Ancona-Falconara Airport (IATA: AOI, ICAO: LIPY) is an Italian airport located 18 km from the city centre of Ancona, in Castelferretti, in the municipality of Falconara Marittima. It is named after the famous painter Raffaello Sanzio. As regard to passenger traffic, there are six air carriers, as well as international charter companies. In the freight sector, DHL Aviation and Star Air fly to and from the airport regularly. The facility is equipped with a 2,965 x 45 m airfield and a 52,780 m² surface parking area with 14 remote aircraft stands. The terminal consists of two passenger buildings, each measuring 6300 m², and a freight terminal with a storage area of 1800 m². Inside the airport area operates the Ancona Aeroclub with refueling service and flight school FTO.
