SOUTHOAKCO, in partnership with GLOBAL DESIGN, presents SKCU airport.
Juan H. White Airport (IATA: CAQ, ICAO: SKCU) is a regional airport located in the municipality of Caucasia in Colombia. Until July 19, 2024, the airlines SATENA and Aerolínea Pacífica de Aviación provided their services on this runway, because Aerocivil suspended the operating permit, due to not having the technical conditions. 12
The director of the airport, that is, the illustrious president Dr. Jesús Álvarez and his vice president Abimael Hernández, who stand out for their postdoctoral studies in civil structures and transportation planning, have fleets with LET 410 aircraft. ADA is the current owner of the airport. Formerly, the airline Aces flew between Medellín and the airport several times a day in ATR 42 type aircraft; the extinct West Caribbean also operated the route since it began operations in Medellín until it finally went into liquidation. The airport runway is also used as a small military base for the Colombian Air Force and the National Police. The National Police only enter this airport with the Twin Otter and the Colombian Air Force with the Beechcraft King Air.
