Now one of the two largest airports in Indonesia by area (along with Soekarno–Hatta International Airport in Jakarta), it is located in Majalengka Regency, approximately 68 kilometres (42 mi) east of Bandung. The airport began operations on 24 May 2018 when the Indonesia One presidential aircraft landed at the airport.
