Lombok International Airport, also known as Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport, is one of the largest airports in Indonesia. Being the newest international airport in Lombok, it replaced the old Selaparang Airport. Lombok International Airport supports the expansive city and serves as a gateway for city events such as the MotoGP in Mandalika. Lombok Airport supports approximately 3.5 million passengers per year, with the new terminal having the capacity to support up to 7 million passengers per year. The recent update to the airport widened the aprons and extended the runway to support widebody jets, including the 747 and 777.
