EGNS Isle Of Man Airport

UK2000 Scenery

4.7/5 (34)

Ronaldsway airport started live in the early 1930 with flights to the British mainland from its grass runways. World War Two saw Ronaldsway being requisitioned by the RAF and changed hands again in 1944 when HMS Urley came into being. After the war it went back to civil flights and became the main airport for the island.

In March 2000 the new extension was opened, providing a new landside catering outlet, arrivals area, baggage hall, and departure lounge. In April 2008 Tynwald granted a major runway extension and resurfacing project at the airport. The runway will be extended by 245m out into the Irish Sea. Today, main operators at Ronaldsway are Easyjet and Loganair.

Our scenery is made with HD photographic images that uses PBR materials. With high detail models researched and based on the real airport, including both large and small details to enhance your flight sim experience. With the advantages of the MSFS engine, we can now bring you sloping runways and enhanced lighting effects not previously possible with other simulators. In addition to airport scenery, we also include general aviation static aircraft scenery to complement and enhance the airport, but will not affect or clash with AI traffic.

The scenery is based on the airport as it was in 2021, and is optimized for the new MS flight sim.

Please beware of the MSFS default photo issues on the Island. Please visit our forum for details.
