Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport (SJC) is the primary airport serving the city of San Jose, California, located in the heart of Silicon Valley. Located about 2.5 miles from downtown, SJC is a major gateway to one of the world’s most technologically advanced regions.

Opened in 1945, the airport was renamed in 2001 in honor of Norman Y. Mineta, a former United States Secretary of Transportation and San Jose native.
