Tampa International Airport is a public airport located approximately 7 miles (11 km) west of downtown Tampa, Florida, United States. Opened in 1971, the airport serves as a major transportation hub for the Gulf Coast region of Florida.

The airport has a main terminal divided into two areas: Terminal A and Terminal B, which together serve over 21 million passengers annually. Facilities include shopping, dining, and car rental services, as well as comfortable waiting areas for travelers.
